When You Wish Upon A Star - Pinocchio

(via fuckyeahdisneysongs)

Story time. When I was 10 we went to Disneyland and as the rest of my family went on a ride I’d already been on I stood with my dad next to the carousel. Over the speakers they were playing a version of this and I started singing it. My dad then joined in and sang the rest of the song with me.  We’ve never had a lot in common and butt heads a lot but that will always be one of my favorite memories of us together.

The weirdest part is I got these at Disneyland. Kid you not.

Since I seem to have so many I’m considering starting a blog devoted to Disney toys and possibly just Disney merchandise in general

Would anybody follow that?

56 years ago today Disneyland opened to the public. At the dedication on the 17th Walt gave this speech  “To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past…and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America…with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” I can’t read that without tearing up
